Baobab Health develops applications using open standard web technology and releases the applications themselves using open source licenses so that others can benefit from the innovations as well.

BART (Baobab AntiRetroviral Therapy)

BART improves the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of information collected during ARV treatment, including identifying patient eligibility, dispensing drugs, tracking patients, and on-going monitoring and evaluation.
This application is currently being used at Lighthouse Clinic, Martin Preuss Centre, Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Salima District Hospital and Dedza District Hospital

Baobab Out-Patient Diagnosis System

Baobab Out-Patient Diagnosis System allows clinics to uniquely identify and track patients and record primary and secondary diagnoses and patient referrals to other clinics .
This system is currently running at Ngoni and Mbang’ombe Health Centres and Neno District Hospital

Previous Software Innovations

Baobab Health still maintains a suite of applications that were developed for Kamuzu Central Hospital. These systems will be migrated to the new platform. Although some of these systems are still actively being used, development of new features has been discontinued
