Baobab Health Trust – BHT with support form the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung disease is implementing the Electronic Village Register (EVR ) / Zam’mudzi Mwathu project.

The EVR project main objectives seek to capture demographic data on the population of TA Mtema, update new births, new entrants into the community and generate reports. The project also targets the capturing of outcomes such as deaths and transfer outs.

Project Scope

Phase 1 focused on implementing a robust power and network solution to capture vital statistics in the 83 villages in TA Mtema. We just commenced implementation of phase 2 which builds on the successes and lessons learnt in phase 1.

Phase 2 will focus on optimizing the adopted approach to make it more easily scalable and enhance data use in community health facilities through integration of applications at community health facilities with Zam’mudzi Mwathu.
